FAQ

Where are Churros from?

Churros is a popular snack in many countries including Mexico, Portugal, China and of course Spain. Some say that churros were the food of nomadic Spanish shepherds. Whilst staying high in the mountains with the flocks and no access to pastry shops the sweet toothed shepherds created churros, which were easy for them to cook in frying pans they took with them to have over an open fire. There is a breed of sheep called the "Navajo-Churro" descended from the "Churra" sheep, the horns of these look similar to churros.

I have allergies, what do they have in them?

The churros themselves have just wheat and salt and the milk chocolate sauce has dairy (milk) and may contain nuts. The dark chocolate is dairy free. The oil we use is rape seed oil.

What chocolate do you use?

We use Willie's Cacao chocolate to compliment our churros.  They’re a chocolate company based in Uffculme, Devon and they produce excellent chocolate. The variety we use is the Rio Caribe for the dark chocolate and Medellin which we use as the milk chocolate.

Are your trays and cups eco-friendly?

We use eco-friendly trays and cups that are compostable in our business.
